About Jozi FM
Jozi FM is based in the Soweto township of Johannesburg, Gauteng province, South Africa. It started as two different stations, Soweto Community Radio (1995) and Buwa Radio, which merged around 1999-2000 to form Jozi FM. The station’s mission statement is “More than just radio” and emphasizes its role in educating, enlightening, and entertaining Johannesburg’s working-class and township audiences.
