TVOM 88.9 Ukhozi FM, locally known as “The Voice of Matat,” is an essential community radio station based in Matatiele, in the Alfred Nzo District in the Eastern Cape, Iningizimu Afrika. Since going on the air in 2007, the station has focused on informing, educating and empowering local residents with multi-lingual programming on human rights, business opportunities and community development. Strategically, the station’s playlist is made up of 60% talk and 40% umculo. The music is local talent with 80% South African music and 20% international hits.
