JOE FM describes itself as a “digital urban youth commercial station, by the youth for the youth”. It operates in the Amathole District (EMpuma Koloni) and broadcasts in both English and isiXhosa to reach young people who are proud of their Xhosa heritage. Ages 16-35, both male and female, aspirational young people looking for school, work, and fun.
